This is official description
RMAA suite is designed for testing quality of analog and digital paths of any audio devices, be it a sound card, an MP3 player, a consumer CD/DVD player or an acoustic set. The results are obtained by playing and recording test signals passed through the tested audio path by means of frequency analysis algorithms. A more common mark is also provided for those unfamiliar with measured technical parameters.

RightMark Audio Analyzer (RMAA) suit, as its name reflects, is the idea of testing audio parameters objectively with frequency analysis algorithms. It is designed for testing the quality of analog and digital paths of any of the common audio devices.
The frequency analysis is done and the results are obtained on the audio paths by playing and recording test signals through them. A common marking system for the results is also provided to help the end user who is not familiar with the technical parameters. The most important feature of RMAA is its user-friendly interface in which all tests and options are in single list. We can select the list by checking the box provided. New sample rates are added and new looking HTML based reports with newly added parameters are also a plus point in the new version. The professional version of RMAA includes many other features. This includes ASIO supports and diagnostics, any combination of ASIO i/o channels testing, cross API testing etc. It also has a 15 skinned GUI. It can use various devices on the same test. Many of the new parameters are available to change in the professional version.
The program at the moment is a de-facto standard providing quick and easy measurement of technical parameters in most commonly used audio devices be it a sound card, an MP3 player, a consumer CD/DVD player or an acoustic set. |

What's new in version 6.2

updated Intel high performance library to IPP 6.0.2;
accelerated tests IMD noise (swept sine) and THD noise (set of tones), these tests work up to 4 times faster now. |
